ITINERARY:

DAY 1: FRIDAY – TASTE THE ELUSIVE GRANGE AND PENFOLDS DINING EXPERIENCE

Welcome to Adelaide. You’ll be met on arrival at Adelaide Airport and transferred to your hotel.

Meet your Tour Leader and fellow travellers for a welcome drink at Hennessy Rooftop Bar. Enjoy sweeping views of Adelaide as you get to know your travelling companions for the next few days.

This evening, the ultimate in winery experiences awaits at Penfolds Magill Estate. Enjoy champagne and canapes on arrival, followed by a twilight tour of the Estate. Walk in the footsteps of winemakers and learn about the history of Penfolds and their craftsmanship. Visit the vintage cellar and the original hiding spot of Max Schubert’s hidden Grange. In the exclusive Grange Room, your host will lead you through a structured tasting of some of Penfold’s most coveted wines, including a vintage Grange, in the exclusive Grange Room. Then it’s off to the Underground Tunnel where you will indulge in the ultimate four-course degustation menu paired with Penfolds wines, of course.

Return to the hotel and reflect on a truly memorable experience.
Overnight: The Mayfair Hotel
Meals: Dinner with Paired Wines

DAY 2: SATURDAY – EXPLORE THE BAROSSA

Today is all about the Barossa. The region’s wine and food story is worldrenowned, but there’s an unexpected side of the Barossa waiting to be discovered. The day begins at Seppeltsfield Barossa, where you will enjoy a private tasting of premium still and fortified wines in the historic Homestead of the Seppelt family. Tour the Underground Blending Cellar before tasting your own birth year Tawny direct from the barrel in the Centennial Cellar, privately hosted by a Seppeltsfield wine educator.

Next head to the iconic St Hugo vineyard to taste four wines from the St Hugo collection. Afterwards, settle in for a relaxed, long-table dining experience in true Barossa form, with a shared style menu paired with St Hugo wines.

Last, but not least, explore Australia’s original winemaking Château and the birthplace of the Barossa wine industry - Château Tanunda. Learn about the secrets of the Estate, the pioneering spirit of the people who established it, the wine industry legends who cut their winemaking teeth here, and what makes it a unique part of the Australian wine industry. Your host will then guide you through a seated tasting of wines from the ‘Heritage’ and ‘The Château’ series of wines.

Return to Adelaide and enjoy an evening at leisure.
Overnight: The Mayfair Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Tastings

DAY 3: SUNDAY – PORT LINCOLN AND COFFIN BAY

An early start this morning for what will be a truly sensational day. Transfer to Adelaide Airport for the 45-minute flight to Port Lincoln, known as the Seafood Capital of Australia. Your guide will meet you on arrival for the drive to beautiful Coffin Bay National Park. Stroll along a deserted white sandy beach and keep your eyes peeled for native wildlife, including families of emus and kangaroos.

Then it’s on to Oyster HQ to learn about the local oyster industry. Look the part as you don a pair of waterproof waders and wade into the water to sit at the semi-submerged ‘Salt Water Pavilion’. A hands-on shucking lesson will have you opening oysters like a pro in no time! And best of all, you’ll get to taste the freshest Coffin Bay oysters straight from the sea. The ultimate seafood indulgence awaits at Oyster HQ, overlooking the pristine waters of Coffin Bay, to cap off a very unique epicurean adventure!

Return to Port Lincoln to explore the marina and see the boats that make up the large fishing fleet. Stop at Boston Bay Wines for wine tasting and stunning ocean views and then enjoy dinner at Del Giorno’s Restaurant, overlooking magnificent Boston Bay. As the sun begins to set, head to the airport for your return flight to Adelaide.
Overnight: The Mayfair Hotel
Meals: Morning tea, Lunch, Dinner, Tastings

DAY 4: MONDAY – UNIQUELY MCLAREN VALE

Enjoy breakfast before heading to McLaren Vale and the iconic d’Arenberg Cube. The idea to build the Cube came to Chester Osborn in 2003, inspired by the complexities and puzzles of winemaking. Each of the five levels has been carefully designed to entice and excite the senses, including features such as a wine sensory room, a virtual fermenter, a 360-degree video room, and many other tactile experiences. Blend and bottle your own wine, working with three barrel samples of single vineyard wine, each with distinctive flavours. Be guided through the blending process to create your own personalised Shiraz, a truly unique souvenir to savour on your return home. Afterwards, enjoy a share-style lunch at Singapore Circus.

This afternoon, visit Shottesbrooke Vineyard for a wine tasting at the cellar door, followed by a barrel tasting in the cellar. Then head to Beresford Estate, a family owned and passionately South Australian, 70 acre working vineyard established in 1985. Here you can indulge in a tasting of your choosing - a wine and chocolate pairing, gin or beer
tasting paddle.
